Research trend of Korean art therapy -Based on the published articles about art therapy(1994~2007)

|
The purposes of this study is to examine the trend for art therapy research in Korea using the systematic analysis based on the idea above as well as to promote the well-balanced development in future art therapy research. A total of 276 articles has been published in Korean Art Therapy Association and Korea Art Therapy Institute. The summary of this study is as follows: First, the number of the articles is increasing every year, and most of the examiners are professors. Second, the results of study contents showed that over 50% of 276 studies examined the process/results. Third, regarding the analytic method of study, over 50% of the studies used a qualitative method. Fourth, a total of 122 studies utilized the statistical analysis method among the 276 studies, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was most frequently used. Fifth, according to the results of subjective analysis, most studies showed that the information on subjects was "clear or clear enough", and the most frequently selected age was 7-year-old or so. Lastly, the types of subjects’s problems were general phenomenon.
